Phin Tokyo Plaza
Laos is a small country, about the size of Japan's main island, surrounded by China, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar, with a population of 7 million (the capital city population is 800,000), and is said to be the last frontier of Asia. However, it is a very pro-Japanese country, with generous Japanese ODA and a great deal of credit for being the first country to send the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV) to Laos.
Phin Tokyo Plaza Laos is the first PTP Group base with its head office in the capital Vientiane and three branches in the provinces (Pakse Branch, Savannakhet Branch, and Luang Prabang Branch), and has a history of being the first direct importer of Japanese daily necessities from Japan in Laos. More than 90% of our customers are local Laotian people, and we have by far the largest share of Japanese products in Laos, and we are proud of the fact that we have become known as "Ping Tokyo Plaza" for Japanese products. I feel that we have been able to help spread awareness of Japanese products in Laos, even if only to a small extent.
We believe that there is still a need for Japanese products in Laos, and we would be happy to hear from manufacturers and wholesalers who are interested in exporting their products to Laos.
