Phin Tokyo Plaza

Kazakhstan is the largest country in Central Asia and the ninth largest in the world by land area, bordering Russia to the north, China to the east, and the countries of Central Asia to the south. Its capital, Astana, is a modern planned city known for its futuristic architecture, and has achieved remarkable economic growth in recent years.

Interest in Japanese food culture, anime, and manga is especially strong among the younger generation, and the number of restaurants serving sushi and ramen is steadily growing. Yet Japanese products themselves remain scarce on the local market, with only a limited selection of Japanese foods and daily goods currently available.

In early September 2026, we will open Phin Tokyo Plaza Astana in the capital city of Astana. We will offer more than 500 varieties of Japanese products — from foods such as seasonings, snacks, beverages, and instant noodles to daily necessities such as cosmetics and shampoo.

​

Our first 40-foot container is scheduled to depart Japan in mid-July 2026, and preparations are underway toward the opening.

We look forward to delivering authentic Japanese products and a genuine taste of Japan to our customers, and to using Astana as a foothold for expansion across Kazakhstan and the surrounding region.
