ピン東京プラザが、アジアとヨーロッパの接点であるコーカサス地域のジョージアに進出しました。2023年9月、Phin Tokyo Plaza Tbilisiとして同国の首都であるトビリシの中心部に近いミツケビッチ通り34番地にオープンすることができました。ジョージアは小国で、住んでいる日本人も300名程度と言われ、大きなマーケットではありませんが、日本びいきな人が多く、日本製品には総じて好感を抱いてくれます。現在、ジョージアで販売されている日本製の食品や生活用品は皆無であるだけに、現地社会にインパクトを生む可能性は十分にあると思っています。商品ポートフォリオの充実、現地ニーズに沿った品揃え、卸売機会の創出など課題は山積みですが、コツコツと現地社会に根付く努力を続け、ジョージアと日本を結ぶ物流の結節点となることを目指します。
Phin Tokyo Plaza Tbilisi opened in September 2023 at 34 Mitkevich Street, near the center of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, the Caucasus region that serves as the interface between Asia and Europe. Georgia is a small country with only about 300 Japanese living in the country, and although it is not a large market, many people are Japanophiles and generally have a favorable impression of Japanese products. Currently, there are no Japanese-made food products or household goods sold in Georgia, so we believe there is ample potential to create an impact on local society. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us, such as enhancing our product portfolio, offering a product lineup that meets local needs, and creating wholesale opportunities, but we will continue our efforts to steadily take root in the local community and become a logistics node connecting Georgia and Japan.
